Minuteman founder, Jason, was raised in northeast Ohio, where a passion for making things was instilled at a young age.

Jason's father is a 40 year veteran of Timken Steel, where he worked as a classical tradesman in keeping the American manufacturing machine humming.  His mom, an ever-present creative force in his  life, excelled as a self-taught pianist, seamstress, illustrator, and cake decorator (to name a few).  One grandfather was a lineman for the early telecommunications industry, the other helped design manufacturing equipment for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber company.  An attention to detail and the desire to create were literally in his blood.

The oldest of three siblings, Jason studied engineering.  Throughout the calculus and physics he never lost sight of the importance of working with ones hands in order to stay connected with what truly mattered - creating.  Whether it be to solve a problem, or simply fashioning an item to be appreciated, nothing quite replaces the satisfaction of seeing the fruits of the imagination realized in real life.

Intentional, functional design with a touch craftsmanship.

After years of laboring, studying, analyzing, optimizing, and manufacturing the joy of producing functional, elegant solutions was never lost.  Whether building race cars, fuel cells, waterjets, or the perfect comb to groom a gnarly beard.....the simplest solution is often the most elegant.

Leveraging the knowledge gained from working across a wide breath of industries, you'll find Minuteman designs fashioned out of a wide variety of materials:  brass, copper, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon fiber are among some of our favorites.  A healthy mix of heavy industrial manufacturing methods coupled with meticulous, artisanal finishing processes is what sets Minuteman apart.
